I could be here all day listing all the actors and actresses that were perfect in their role in Harry Potter, but born for the role is unquestionably Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood.

Norman Reedus as Daryl on The Walking Dead.

Reedus tried and failed to get the role of Merle, but they decided to create Daryl as they were impressed with Reedus (but not ahead of Rooker). He was supposed to die in S1 but they changed their minds.....the rest is history.

Always thought you could literally do a straight swap with her and Saoirse Ronan and we'd hardly notice the difference.

I reckon Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes. Just brilliant. Plays the role of the sort of arrogant, misunderstood but ultimately well meaning genius very well. Couldn't imagine anyone else being Sherlock now that I've seen him in the role and I've liked other Sherlock programmes/films before the bbc one but now I couldn't look at them. I thought he played Alan Turing very similiarly in the Imitation Game and he's class in that too.

in fairness Jeremt Brett was head and shoulders better than Cucumber.

Surprised I haven't seen Ray Liotta for Goodfellas.

His voice and his look characterize the entire movie, can't imagine it without that narration and his face in key moments. The fact he hasn't had any other role close to it makes it all the more defining.

Joe Pesci as Tommy Devito in Goodfellas. Ok, he plays the same sort of character in Casino also but his role in Goodfellas is just perfect and I can't think of a more perfect actor for that role.

Mark Hamill but not as Luke Skywalker. His voice acting for The Joker in the TV series and the recent video games is just amazing and even though the visuals are done via animation, the voice encompasses everything about the Joker and all that character encompasses. Incredible voice acting that Hamill was born to do.

    You mean Bruce in Jaws.

Jim Carey as Ace Ventura and Mask.

You could probably pick quite a few of his films and say the same, but I think those performances in particular would be impossible for someone else recreate.

Robin Williams as the Genie in Aladdin. Only a voice but my god was he perfect for it. Again, no one else could have nailed it like him.

What actors do you think were just born to play their role in a certain movie or movie series? Or that a movie was specifically wrote for a certain actor to be in it.

    I'll start it off with

Jack Black - School of Rock. Can't imagine anyone else play his character just was perfect for the role. He had the personality, the looks and the knowledge and passion for the genre. Brilliant performance.

The one issue I would have with this is that, school of rock was more or less built for Jack black, rather than the other way around.

I know it's not a popular opinion but for me he's not my favourite bond....

I know he wasn't the best but I always liked Moore as bond!

I must be the only person on the planet that like Timothy Dalton as Bond.

Margaret Hamilton as The Wicked Witch of the West.

Witches weren't portrayed as haggard old women with clawed hands and unsettling laughs before her performance in the Wizard of Oz.

It was so frightening to children that much of her role had to be cut out of the film. She even went onto a TV talk show to demonstrate that she was playing a character and that the witch wasn't really real.

Previously witches had been portrayed as beautiful women, like Belinda, the good witch of the East.

I'm aware of the witches in Shakespeare, who seemed pretty horrible.

Oh what a world, what a world.
Who would have thought that a little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness!
