Returning to Dublin this year from overseas. I am looking at houses in Ballinteer/ Rathfarnham general area. Could anyone tell me what the traffic is like in the mornings as regards school run etc. Is there a lot of traffic on the Grange Road approaching the Ballinter/ Dundrum roundabout entering/exiting the M50.

    Thanks CM

Thanks, would love to but it is hard to organise from overseas. Was just trying to get an idea of traffic as I have never been there on a weekday morning.

Have you definitely got them into a specific school? That might be your biggest hurdle.

Yes my daughter will be going to Wesley College so that's sorted. Hopefully we can get somewhere very close. If we are in Rathfarnham we might have to drive sometimes so I was just curious about how bad the traffic is in the mornings.

    Hi

Its not too bad, sometimes its 2nd or 3rd gear up to the M50 from Dundrum, but from Marley its a bit better.

There will be traffic, especially between 0800 and 0900, but it is generally moving if rather slowly!

Somewhere along the 14 bus route (which includes most of Marley Grange and Ballinteer) would be ideal for you as it runs past Wesley College, which would save you a school run!

You could always get her a bike.
