Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Excuse the ignorance, but why are people waiting for tickets in the post?

I thought everyone used ticketfast these days?

(Not in anyway a dig, genuine question)

I always liked proper tickets. No real reason, just my preference.

Not worth this crap again though.

For some reason I just like to have the proper tickets even though its clearly horribly inefficient for this very reason!

Prefer to have physical tickets and I like to keep them afterwards too.

That used to be part of my thinking. But after 16 UFC events I think I probably have maybe 3 ticket stubs... And those are lying in a drawer somewhere.

Hence my definite switch to printable tickets from here on.

Yeh I throw them out so even less reason to get the proper tickets!

Another update on this bleedin ticket saga, which may be of relevance for others still waiting.

The guy I spoke to this morning who told me that my tickets were posted on the 1st of October was talking out of his arse.

I called again and spoke to someone else to see what my options were and she clarified.

Ticketmaster were due to send out all the remaining tickets for this event on the 1st of October. But due to the strike which was happening on the 2nd and 3rd (I think), they held off on posting them.

She said that the remaining tickets were all posted either at the end of last week or the start of this week. So they should show up in the very near future.

Worryingly she also confirmed that "Donegal" was missed off the address on my dispatch! I'll give it a few days more before I make other plans.

Also for those who end up stuck with box office collection, the 3 Arena were also talking out of their arse when they said that the collection office only opens at the same time as the doors open. According to the girl I spoke to just now, the office will open 1 hour before the doors open. As far as I remember the doors open at 4:45 which means that the tickets will be ready for collection at 3:45pm.

Did any Fight Pass subscribers receive their invitation to the fan symposium before the weigh-ins next Friday morning?

Hi Guys, not sure if this is allowed here. mods please delete if inappropriate. Have two tickets for sale for UFC Dublin, unable to attend due to family illness. Thought Id put it up here before i put it on adverts. Tickets are 365 for the pair, section F. They are paper tickets and are available for collection in cork.

Right, settle down and read the last few pages of the thread. Anyone who knows what I'm on about knows there was no wind-up behind my comment, when you realise, you'll understand. Just chill man! :) And DONT sell your ticket!

In fairness it's a tenner for a picture. €25 for general admission and €35 for the VIP option which include the photo opportunity, probably with everyone involved. It's expensive either way but would be a good evening IMO.

    Apologies young man ;)
Hope Stormin is giving the money to charity.
They're pretty close to the seats I have tbh so none of you would probably want to be beside me!!!!! :(

Well that's devastating. They can't even replace it at this stage with another co-main.

It was actually a very solid Fight Pass card despite the nonsense being spouted, but it's very weak now.

It was a solid card? So solid, the removal of one fight converts it immediately to a weak card?

Anyone know how you get the early entry to the weigh in with FP?

Well yeah, the co-main event, involving two top ten heavyweights. Rankings-wise it was the biggest fight on the card.

It's not like a prelim fight involving non-ranked fighters was removed which would probably be a non-issue.

    It's a pretty big blow.

Yeah, not many Fight Pass cards are better. That was the best fight on the card in my opinion so of course it's going to drop the quality significantly. Not sure how you don't understand that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Mitrione was offered the fight and accepted but Rothwell turned it down. Understandable I suppose, it's a lose-lose fight for him really. If he wins, well he beat him he already anyway and if he loses, it sends him right back.

    It's just so disappointing. :(

What now? The Tout bumped up to the main card?

Such a sickener that Rothwell-Miocic is off the card. That fight was my main defense of the line-up but the loss of both is a hammer blow to it unfortunately.......still gonna go and enjoy it tho!

Norman Parke moved up to co-main event slot.

Surprised they didn't go for Holohan/Smolka.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,494 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

The ironic thing is that if Parke sold the tickets off at face value before Miocic pulled out, he'd have done the fair thing and no one would be any worse off.

Now, he'll struggle to even get face value for them I'd say. Karma at its finest.

He'll probably look for more because now people have the honour of buying them from a main event fighter!

At least he's being dignified towards the criticism about him selling tickets...

    From his FB page

    Horrible news.

Was really looking forward to that fight.
Apart from the main event the rest of it is average to meh.

Has it been officially cancelled, or just in severe jeopardy at the minute?

Officially cancelled. UFC informed him directly that they couldn't find a suitable opponent.

He's still coming to Dublin though, just not fighting.

This card is so crap now.
I know it's only one fight but it made a big difference.

Even last time the McGregor, Gunnar and Pickett McCall were three solid fights.

Apart from the main event this is awful now.
Parke in the co main, really?

For the price of the tickets this is bottom of the barrell stuff.
