My husband changed battery in our astec 63 alarm, now it's shown a bell fault also he thinks the fuse is gone in the box in hot press were he changed battery, anyone know what type fuse he needs for this (can't read size, amp etc). Or anyone any suggestions on bell fault, would it just need battery changing in that also, was fine till he went at it ðŸ˜

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like he blew the panel. Very easy to do when screwing the PCB back on. The solder spikes pierce the battery lead.

It's either that or if you're lucky the bell cable has come loose from the input.

So, does that mean having to get a new alarm

If it is the panel then your only option is to try get one second hand somewhere as they don't make them anymore.

    Hi,

Would anybody have the Astec 63 alarm manual? New home owner trying to troubleshoot it and replace battery.

    Thanks
