Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, I'll hopefully be starting in DCU this September in Computer Applications and I have a huge interest in debating, law and other things of that sort, just not enough to do a degree in :p, anyway I was wondering if there are limitations on the socs I could join, I'd love to join the debating and law socs as both do debating, and from what I know they only do house debates, so I'd like to try get them to eventually do euros and worlds, like UCD's does, is this possible - for me to join and participate in their activities?

Also, has anyone tried setting up the American Football club again? I know it was shut down recently enough due to poor turn out, but it's worth a try again, right?
And, what's the deal with formal balls, doesn't seem to be as many as other colleges, not enough funding or are they just not organised, they seem like great craic for socs and even faculties! :P

    Thanks in advance!!

Yea you can join whatever society you want, doesn't matter in the least what you're studying.

Ah right, thanks, got the vibe off one or two of them that they predominantly deal with certain courses :)

Naturally, some societies will be a niche for students from certain courses such as Redbrick and Computer Applications/Enterprise Computing but it doesn't matter what course you're in while joining or being in a society.

Fair enough, I just think it's best to join as many of the clubs and socs that interest me that I can join!
