    Hi,

I'm heading to Killarney next weekend and would like to know where the good pubs are. I have been to Killarney only once before and they all seemed quite tacky and geared towards tourists.

Looking for a good pub with decent atmosphere, good tunes but still able to hear yourself think!!

Also if there are any craft beer pubs/whiskey pubs they would be great!

    Thanks

Definitely Courtney's Bar on Plunkett St. Large selection of craft beers & known for their whiskeys too. There is live music there too but not sure what nights. Check out their website.

Have heard Courtney's is good and you can now do a tour of Killarney Brewing Company. It's a little bit geared towards Americans but the beer is good. http://www.killarneybrewing.com/

Most places are gonna be absolutley bananas this weekend coming, The Lane, The Kube and Courtneys are all places where you can talk but odds are they will be fairly mental inside. The Shire is really good too, if you get there early enough and grab a seat you can easily spend a few hours there.
