Directions for Mamean

Heading west later in the week and might go for a short walk at Mamean. Not that familiar with Connemara - I think there's a right turn near recess I need to take and the road is a dead end, then I can do the walk? Can anyone be a bit more specific on how I know what turn to take, am I on the right track etc?

Just before you come to Recess (about 1/2 mile) take a right turn. Remain on that road (don't take the left turn 1/2 mile in) until you reach Mamean. If you continue past Mamean it is not a dead end the road comes out in the inagh valley which is a beautiful part of the country and well worth a look.
