AFAIK ye will be added to Division 7.
Unfortunate for returning players who missed the deadline but if there wasn't an enforced cut off it would be extra work for each GM and a nuisance for other players who would have to move divisions again.

What is required of the GM? Only my second year playing fantasy football but if their is no one else for division 6 I will do it, would need a fair bit of advice though!

I appreciate there is a lot of work in setting up the divisions etc but is it not a little early to cut off anyone returning from last year? Would be a shame if players have contributed for a number of years and are now shunted back to Division 7.

I have been promoted 2 divisions myself so not speaking from self interest fwiw.

Always been the end of July and like this year we did usually extend by a week or so.

This year the thread was opened a lot later than normal (towards end of June) and i posted the list of divisions on the 10th August (later than normal. The participants from last year should know that July is signup time as they did it in previous years. They would also have gotten an email from NFL when their league was reactivated. i would love to leave the signup period open a lot longer but we need this period to actually fill the divisions on NFL.com

my only complaint is that my league wasnt activated and the div 3 thread had no post, my only issue with then been booted.

The GM of that division said he was gonna reactivate it, he must not have done so. As for waiting for a post in division 3 thread, most of the division threads dont get posted on until after the division lists are out. Why wait until then. Every year before now you posted before the end of July, whats so different about this year. If you want me to redo the lists i can but at what stage do i make the cutoff? If someone posts next week will i have to redo them again?

Fair enough. I was bringing the point up for discussion, not intended as a criticism of yourself. Maybe from next year on we should set a deadline in the charter for all players to respond as the current line is a bit ambiguous.

Check the charter, it does say July 31st. I normally allow leeway in this to the end of the bank holiday weekend but this year i went a week further as the season is starting a little later than normal

As said only complaint is that league was reactivated if I see an email for that then I can address it, the number of drop outs is huge and id say its people in similar position to me, my div had a lot of drop outs. as said NFl doesn't come on the radar till talk of pre season starts.

Anyway its not to argue its to simply make the point my league wasnt activated, i logged in once a post email came up for div 3.

Would it help if people proffered up an email address to a mailing list (subscribe to a mail chimp free service) and a moderator sends out one email to notify ppl that leagues are coming on stream and to register interest by X date.

That's dependent on ppl not being precious about their email address.

I work for a Online marketing company and when it comes to Email marketing generally only 20-22% actually open emails you send. So it is really just as good as posting here.

This is the way I see it. If anyone has been playing for more than 1 season they know our deadline has been the end of July for quite sometime. There really is no excuse for missing it really. We hear the excuse oh I was away for July and August well why not post in the thread in june and ay heading away but I am in. I get people have lives but it take a matter of minutes to post on the thread.

Hey, I posted in the sign up thread saying either I was either in Division 7 or 8. On looking it was 7 however I seem to have been reactivated in division 8? Looking above there doesn't seem to be a division 8 this year? Does anyone know what division I'll be in this year?

Just stay as you are. Your division is acting as Division 5 this year with Setanta74 acting as your GM

Might be a good idea for GMs to start making sure all the right players are in their leagues now. End of the month is going to come sooner than we think.

Drop out guys who were relegated and send invites to those who are in. And then throw up Polls for the Drafts.

The league tables were done a few weeks ago, I can add you into division 7 if that sounds good?

If Hazys joins then that will balance the invites I've sent out for division 7, but if you've got someone else that wants to join then get them to post on here and I'll get an invite to them as soon as there is someone to balance the entry.

I'm not going to bother with league 7 cheers tho. I started in league 5 and worked my way up to league 1 so I'm not starting again.
