Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Letting out your apartment for a year while you travel?

    Is this commonplace? I live with two other people and I adore my apartment but I am planning to go travelling in the next year or so. Do people generally get someone in for a year and then return? Or would I have to give up my lovely apartment?

    Is it your own apartment, or just a room. What happens if your housemates prefer the new person and don't want you back? :eek:

    If you own the property then yes, it is common enough to rent it out while you are away long term. But you would need to be tax compliant, register with the tenancy board, draft a lease, and get someone to manage the property for you while you are away.

    The lads in the property forum could add 100+ items to this list.
