iPhone lock screen stuck

    For some reason I have yet to analyze, my music controls display on my lock screen when there is no music or video app playing. The controls are suck in "play" mode with the pause button visible but tapping it has no effect. The clock and date do not display.
    Any ideas how to fix ?

    iPhone 6 iOs 8.4

    Reset the phone. Press and hold the lock and home button until the screen goes blank and then the Apple logo comes up

    That's a weird one. I'd probably plug it in and restore and see what happens.
