    Hi all,
I recently installed a HKC 1070 panel in my home. I have a GSM SC card to install in it. I want to use it with the app and was told I needed the GSM SC over the GSM Q.

Can anybody talk me through how to set this up?

You need to register for Securecomm here.
You will be given an id to put into the panel.
Down power the system and put in the GSM-SC.
Go to communication and enable the GSM/GSM-SC.
Put in ID and set up a password.
Systems will scan for the best network.
When this is complete go to your app on your phone.
Put in the ID and the password you set up.
You user code it then used to use the app.

You can also go into the sms messages on the control panel and set it up to text your phone once activated. This will send you texts for alarm activation also.

There is a lot of good information in this thread re apps etc.
I would recommend having a read over that before committing to subscription services.

Anyone can set this up. You don't need to be an installer

I thought that page you linked to was after the installer login section.

It certainly reads like that to me.
This portal is for alarm installers

But you know HKC for looking after the end user.

    No its just the portal.
The installer section needs PSA number and codes to access.

    Cheers altor.

It was very straight forward in the end. Cheers for the advice.

    Koolkid,
I read those threads before I went with the HKC. I'm a sparks but have no experience with alarms. I asked some lads I work alongside from time to time who would install all makes and the advice I received was I'd find the HKC easier to set up having no experience

Yes, I understand. Their stuff is really aimed at the end user.

Yeah its great that its so reliable and easy to use. At the end of the day its the end users who have to use the system. Isn't it great when companies design products and make them simple and effective.
