Went out with the plan of not drinking and coming home early to have a little power nap before the game. Only just arrived in the door half cut and completely forgot about it until now.

Id perfer to see him cutting in off the left, if he want to play this player off the striker formation, then play mata off the striker

3 new signings looking sharp, Johnstone hasnt put a foot wrong. Rooney a bit slack maybe and didn't see much of mata at all. Good half

Decent enough first half, all things considered. Johnstone, Darmian and Scneiderlin have all been impressive.

Ya seems nervous with it, still good sweeping from him behind on a few ocassions.
Thought the 3 new signings played the best.

Rooney looks off the pace and out of sync with everyone else but it is the first game of the tour...

Good to see Johnstone playing well, he did well to come off the line very quickly.

As usual, Moran Schneiderlin is very good.

I'm liking Darmain,solid and composed at the back.

Schneiderlin by far the most impressive of the debutants with Depay the least.

Club America really did put a shift in that half, Utd constantly under pressure.
Utd too slow in the build up and having Mata and Young out wide again doesn't help.

Darmian looks pretty decent.

Quandary

Schneiderlin and Darmian impressive throughout the half. Memphis first 25 mins he was lost but np the last 20 he really came into it with some excellent little flicks and lay offs.

As for the rest, thought Rooney was average, Mata, young and Shaw have been decent, Johnstone has been solid, Carrick has been ok - maybe a little bit confused about his positioning with Schneiderlin playing deeper than him at times.

Overall, for the opening game it has been encouraging.
