If you're going down that road (and I agree Rooney gets overrated quite a bit b many), don't go mentioning Cantona with Charlton. Charlton is possibly the best player in the history of the club, Cantona while a cult icon and catalyst for the first great Fergie team... is not.

I think Adnan has been a bit of a disappointment considering how he broke into the team and played some great football. Was always going to be tough to him to hold a place.

I'm not too sure what VG plans for him are and I reckon it won't be long until Pereira is ahead of him in the managers mind. Lingard will find it tougher I think but I really like him and he is very talented.

I think loaning out Januzaj would be a good idea to try help him recapture old form with regular football, Lingard (unless guaranteed cup and some sub appearances) probably needs to be loaned out too.

It will be interesting to what players we have loaned out and chosen to stay with us by the end of the window.

I think anywhere he'd get regular football would help. If Sociedad to take him and Moyes has worked with him before it would be good, hard to see it happening but I agree that it would be a good move for his development if they can give him first team football

Some class goals there, I remember that Norwich game as a child, great memories.

That Kanchelskis goal.....One of the best counter attacking goals I've ever seen, every bit as good as Rooney v Bolton and ronaldo v Arsenal.

kanchelskis 93-95 was sensational to watch, its a huge reason why counter attacking football and pace is such an important factor for me , I grew up watching it every week.

was in the villa end for this one as couldnt get into the away end....tried to keep quiet but it was difficult.

that game however for me is always remembered as the day that started the process of Ronaldo becoming the player that he was. scored twice that day, tore Villa a new one and his career took off from there. he was kicked, booed, abused at obscene levels from the Villa fans yet he shoved it down their faces and was sensational.

had a 3rd disallowed if memory serves me correct and then went on an un-believable scoring run and the rest as they say is history. luckily enough, ive been at about 10 of the games in which those goals were scored, really everytime you watch Untied you are watching a potential moment that will be remembered for decades.

this is what happens every summer during the tour....our transfer dealings in preseason while we are away are vitrually zero in the last 10 years and at the moment, its shaping up to be a very quiet few weeks.
