Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has there been any signings from there since this fella?

    Wow.
That surprises me that you didn't know that man.

I have a head for trivia - always remembered the clubs and the fee (£115,000) involved. British transfer record at the time, and the third time a transfer involving him had broken the record.
The second time was City to Torino a year earlier, and the first time was when city signed him. And of course I can't bloody remember who it was from.

    Massimo Taibi.....

No that's definitely Denis Law. :pac:

Taibi ended up in Turin a few years after he played for us alright.

I never remember trivia. In fact it wouldn't surprise me at all if I had learned this fact about Law before and forgotten it.

I'm sure I read that his mate was driving. Law was alright after it.

Going back to the Adidas thing - it is of course possible I would think that they could bring in players before the tour, head off on the tour and wait until they are all home and settled in before unveiling them. The last game on the tour is July 29th so they wont be back in Manchester until August the 1st at the very earliest by which time the Adidas deal has kicked in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,074 ✭✭✭pmasterson95

The kit thing is daft aswell. People wont go buying the nike kit and sticking "Memphis 26" on it. I'd imagine that until the squad numbers are released there would be FA printing done anyway.

Bring the new signings on tour with fake mustaches, wigs and fake names. Pretend they are youth players. Then when there back pounce the suprise signings!

During the new kit unveiling Ed comes out with the "reserves" and Ramos reveals himself by removing his fake black afro and mustache, Darmian takes off the glasses moustache combo, Scheneiderlin gels his hair back to how we're used to, Otamendi removes his fake nose, the crowd go wild.

Adidas have the most watched unveiling of all time and go on to beat every record to do with selling shirts!! We get the rewards of having the players play in preseason with not much media hounding them and go on to win the league!

I'd be very happy with Darmian, but Sky Italia are a nothing source iirc.

I think we need to be bringing in at least two CMs this summer. I'm worried that LVG will have to faff around with formations again if he only gets in one.

Id like a good box to box midfielder but I can't see it happening if we pay 25 million for Schneiderlin.

Carrick, Blind and Schneiderlin competing for the deepest midfield role and Herrera, Mata, Di Maria, Fellaini competing for the other two is how I think it will go.

I could imagine how that conversation went.

Looking like we could have our 2nd signing done today, the deal for Darmian is getting nearer to being done according to Italian press.

Would Darmian be a M&S signing or a Lidl?

He would be a Manchester utd signing, as he is a footballer and not an Italian wine.

Some rumour going round now that Thomas Muller has had a training ground bust up with Guardiola and that is the reason behind the reports of a United bid for him.

Confirmed signings, and the bountiful bosoms that accompany them.

    Not a damn thing.

    Very disappointing.

Think most fans have been honest enough to say they've not got much idea on him and seen much of him. Even Bang's friend in Turin hasn't shared a glowing report on him.
But looked who knew much on Vidic before he joined..
If he's an Italian international he must be at a decent standard..

You only quoted that because of

Jugones | De Gea asked Van Gaal to let him leave again. His response was a resounding 'no'.
