Not quite - seemingly he agreed a price with PSG without the consent of the PLC, and they told him they wouldn't back his offer. so he then had to go back to PSG with a lesser offer - so while he isn't blameless, there is also penny pinching on the side of the PLC

If that isn't worth a chuckle, then I don't know what is.

No-one is claiming it's a bleedin comedic tour-de-force, but it is a little bit chuckly that those guys wore those kits once upon a time.

Even TC would have been on 60-70k, and if Raf & Evans are moved on, who are probably on the same, that's another 200K or so freed up.

Depay & Damiao wouldn't be on much more than 200-230K between them, so that leaves plenty of scope for new wages, before we even pay more that we did last year. With the new commercial deals kicking in over the next year, wages won't be an issue even with 3-4 additional big earners coming in.

No confirmation to my knowledge on Depay and Darmian wages but if the figures quoted are right I heard Depay is to get something like 90k a week and Darmian has been linked apparently with only 40k!

Now this might not be true but a combined value of 130k for the both would be a brilliant cost! Too good to be true in my eyes but we'll have to wait and see! If it is true it has freed up a lot of wages!

Makes sense given his goalscoring record. Don't think I can handle another season of Ashley Young starting on the left though so hopefully it doesn't come to that.
