Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scweinsteiger leaves and Bayern Munich lose 2-1 to Augsburg, might only be a friendly but I'll take it as a good omen.

    Current best eleven?

    Mine would be -

    .......................De Gea.......................

    Darmian......Smalling........Rojo........Shaw

    .........................Carrick......................
    .................Herrera........Bastian............

    Di Maria......................................Depay
    ........................Rooney.......................

Looks pretty impressive to me and we're not finished buying yet. That midfield is pretty tasty.

United must milk PSG on the fee or get Veretti.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

I'd be very pissed off if that happened. The way Utd are going they could end up with a smaller squad than last year which would be utter madness.

Anyway let's see how it all plays out.

This journo is meant to be spot on for transfers. Not good if true for ADM fans

Blanc was quoted this morning saying that they were interested, but the price would be too much even for PSG

That's a link to last summer when he was still a Madrid player.

If DiMaria is unhappy or anything like that then get as much money back for him and let him leave. If its all nonsense then he should go nowhere.

Plenty of time to sign someone to replace him.

There's something quite sad about RVP's time at Old Trafford. Yes, he got to win a PL medal, but it feels like Fergie screwed him over. I know you can never trust what you read in the news, but it seems like he joined United with Ferguson assuring him that they'd achieve great things together. Fast forward one year and Fergie's out the door leaving RVP in a very uncertain situation. Fergie was a genius, but he seemed to be an unbelievably selfish man. It brings to mind the criticism that was levelled at him before, that he ran the club for his own benefit.

    Are you for real? Selfish?
Sir Alex gave up his empire to be with his wife who had lost her sister and best friend. If that's not the opposite of selfish I don't know what is.

if Di Maria was to leave, along with RVP and the others, it would certainly take alot of gloss off the incomings unless we pull off 2 or 3 top, world class signings.

    hopefully ADM is going nowhere,

    Anyway...

absolutely zero chance of that happening.

i hope i am wrong, but im expecting us to go all out for Harry Kane which would be a disaster IMO. somebody has to be signed though and its going to cost us £30m at least.

as long as its not Cavani or Kane anyway, its a start.

    spoilers .

6pm the next evening and you haven't watched the fight?

What the hell are you doing online so?

Anyway I've deleted my post. You might want to do the same with your quote lest anyone else in Ireland is living under a rock and hasn't heard the outcome.

What is the relevance of posting the result of an unrelated sporting event that some will have not seen in a thread about Man Utd?

Selling Di Maria would surprise me and be disappointing as he never really got going yet. Its an easy story from he french side as I have no doubt PSG would like to get him.

When we consider Depay is on board, Mata's performances last season then I could see why papers/websites would make out Van Gaal would be willing to release him. United look to be spending, investing in a few players and may want to recoup some funds.

Overall though United have freed up a lot of wage spend already and should really be able to free up more cash by selling likes of Evans rather than the best flair player in the squad.

I was in a different country until an hour ago and just got home and checked the Utd thread for any transfer news before watching it.

Sorry but that wasn't very clever.

The result is plastered over every inch of the Internet. I usually don't watch events til the Sunday afternoon and won't even turn on my phone until then.

    Anyway, apologies for the mixup.

Surely after any such event its easier to avoid internet? I can get spoilers if its before an event airs but once it airs you should really just wait to watch it or prepare for spoilers. Or should we wait 48 hrs before posting anything?

    No worries. Lesson learned.

Anyway, any idea when Schweni will be unveiled? I wonder will they do it tomorrow or wait until they get to Seattle.

Much as I'd like to see Muller at the club there is zero chance of any more Munich players moving to Utd.

I reckon this story has legs as we now have Depay and with Mata behind Rooney I think LVG does not see ADM as been a pivotal player in the team. If we do sell him we must sign another top class forward because if Rooney gets injured we will be very weak up front. We will only have Wilson as an out and out striker if Chicarito goes to Orlando. If we spend big money on Kane it will be a massive gamble. I would love us to go for Benzema if we off load ADM. Feel he would be brilliant in the premiership as he has the physical attributes and the skill.
