I'm happy to see MBV are included in this bunch of E-liquid Companies using independent labs to test their liquids (I just ordered alot of MBV!)

& Halo are another company on this list. I think ecirette sell that line.

    No replies?

Looks like no one wants to think about what they're inhaling. :pac::pac:

Personally I'm devastated that Mothers Milk is rumoured to be full of death chemicals. :(

Why do all the best things have to kill you faster?

Five pawns apparently have a huge amount of these chemicals in their juices, I saw the report on reddit (via cloud9vaping I think).

They sent cease and desist letters to the whatever site published the test results. Pretty shady coming from one of the most expensive juice lines out there.

Sorry about the vague info, I'll try and put up a link later.

Check this out, I won't be trying any #51 in a hurry...

Beard vape co. #64 : Diacetyl (Not detected) & Acetyl propionyl (Not detected)

    Beard vape co. #32 : Diacetyl (6.97 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (3.05 ug/ml)

    Beard vape co. #88 : Diacetyl (3.88 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (308 ug/ml)

    Beard vape co. #5 : Diacetyl (5.23 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (357 ug/ml)

    Beard vape co. #51 : Diacetyl (5.59 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (1843 ug/ml)

#64 looks ok, (Creamy Hibiscus Cotton Candy & no detected poisons) might give that a taste.

    Found this too...

Click on 'Diacetyl, Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl Ingredient list' (bottom left of page) to download to dropbox.

Now to find someone to sell it to me! :)

I realise that I'm probably the only one reading this :pac: but at least it's here in one place for my own use.

Suicide Bunny-Mother's Milk: Diacetyl: 5.46, acetyl propionyl: 400
Suicide Bunny-Sucker Punch: Diacetyl: 5.68, acetyl propionyl: 221

One name keeps cropping up as I search the net for info on a decent company, Flavour Art. An Italian company, they have a uk site, but seem to be mostly about DIY liquid making.

This crowd claim to "have sourced the best e-liquid brands from around the world, that pride themselves on quality and consistency. Our gourmet eliquids are batch tested, diacetyl free, and made in strict lab environments."

No mention of Acetyl Propionyl, but happy to see High Rollers Wheel of Fortune is on there. (Lovely stuff)

    Excellent information ceekay, thank you.

This is where I think we, as vapers, are being let down. These facts should be printed on bottles so we know what we are vaping. Forget stupid rules about bottle sizes etc. Bring in proper regulation which includes a standard test that juices should pass in order to be sold.

Totally agree. I'm amazed that companies haven't yet set up a common resource/place of information to boast that their products are safer than their rivals!

The link above to the soundcloud podcast makes the point that goverments could use the excessively high levels of these dangerous chemicals in some products to either completely ban vaping or tax it massively to discourage use.

If we as vapers don't support the 'cleaner' producers/products, we're setting ourselves up to be targeted.

The soundcloud link is well worth a listen, although it is nearly 2 hours long, it gets better as it goes on. Word of warning - after listening to it, you might not want to sub ohm vape.

I'm not too sure I want to without listening to it.

I have been using the stock sub tank coils and they make me cough. But what I cough up tastes like what I've been vaping.

I think there is a danger of taking this sub ohm direct to lung masses of clouds thing too far.

What I took from it went along these lines-

The higher the temperature that you vape these chemicals at, the more damage you are doing.

Likewise, the more vapour that you inhale, the more of your lungs are being exposed to the irritants.

But, you would be better off taking short vapes at a high temperature, than multiple long vapes at a lower temperature!

This company might be worth a look at...

    http://www.thechosenfew.eu/index.php

    Reviewed here...

The Chosen Few is one of the first European juicemakers I know of that has a full line up that is entirely diketone (Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl, Acetoin) free.
While there are only four flavors to choose from for now, they’re all very intricate in their own regard.

I've found Nathan at Cloud House Vapour to be very helpful in the past so I emailed him last night to ask -

"Can you let me know what products you sell have been independently tested and are shown to be diacetyl, acetyl propionyl, and acetoin free?"

    Here's his response -

At the moment the only company that I know for certain doesn't use any flavors that contain diketones is Indigo. They have no custard or buttery flavors of any kind, specifically because they won't use anything that may contain diketones. Coval says that they are diketone free, but I believe they are relying on the honesty of their flavor providers. The same goes for MBV.

Most companies, in my experience, don't do independent testing. I don't think this is an intentional avoidance of the issue, but rather a problem with the cost of testing. I have been pricing labs to do our own testing and it is outrageously expensive to have it done by a lab that is known for consistent results. Because of this, I have come up with a plan.

I am going to put together a crowd funding proposal with the hope of raising enough money to get ALL of the juice tested. All results will be made public through the site. The number of flavors I have tested will be dependent on how much is raised, but the hope would be that there would be enough to test not only our juice, but the juice of other manufacturers as well. It's still in the planning stages, but I really want to do it. I will, of course, invest some of my own cash into the project, but I want it to be transparent and removed from CloudHouse.

In the mean time I have requested testing results from all companies I carry, and I will be releasing them as they come in. I wish I had more info, but for now this is it.

    Cheers,

    Nathan

This is brilliant. Fair play to him. I hope we can all support this project.

Manabush have been testing there liquids and the results look good with only trace amounts of acetoin being found,

http://www.manabush.com/Safety-and-Testing.html Test results are about halfway down the page.

I DIY Mom&Pops and Cappella as they claim not to have any nasty's in their concentrates, they have no test results to back this up though so i will just trust them for now.

E-smoke are selling this range stating...

"This E-Liquid has been tested by a third party lab to insure that it is free of Harmful & Potentially Harmful Constituents: Acetyl Propionyl and Diacetyl."

    Brilliant. :D

    This page is quite useful...

I really rate Flavour Art as well. So it great to know they are guaranteed to be Diketone free. Just need Capella to release a V2 of their New York Cheese Cake.

Thank you for this thread. I did not know about these 2 chemicals until now. I was not worried but just checked to see if my regular juice contained them and according to the manufacturer 'De Kang' they don't...

Most all of the liqua range have
<0.5 μg/ml of the various baddies. Is this just trace amounts ? Can't really find any proper info on bad levels.

    I think that's just trace or minuscule amounts. Compare it to the beard vape info from post #5;

Beard vape co. #64 : Diacetyl (Not detected) & Acetyl propionyl (Not detected)

    Beard vape co. #32 : Diacetyl (6.97 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (3.05 ug/ml)

    Beard vape co. #88 : Diacetyl (3.88 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (308 ug/ml)

    Beard vape co. #51 : Diacetyl (5.59 ug/ml) & Acetyl propionyl (1843 ug/ml)
