In 2012 Donegal were brilliant to watch. Its the teams who try to imitate but don't have good enough players to do so that are boring.

I saw her once but she was on a downward spiral by then, sadly.

It was terrible to see her gone so soon, but she made some great music in her time.

The '92 team were brilliant too.

And Clare must have been brilliant that year, too, if they could beat a Kerry side still featuring Jack O'Shea. ;)

Bit late to tell her that when this show is now in its eleventh year.

    Just sayin'.

(How many times have I said that tonight?)

    :o:o:D;)

Top quality team, slightly Martin McHugh,Manus Boyle and Tony Boyle were pure class.

It's slightly before my time but the Clare Dublin AI semi final from 1992 is pure quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo0oTAaqZAU.

Pauric Conway for Clare had an unbelievable game that day

Maybe the nodding is a ploy for presidency... it worked for Mary Robinson!

It's gas alright. Jim had Miriam bamboozled there and she made a joke of it. Imagine Kirsty Wark admitting she didn't understand what was going on. Argh.. This show and Miriam are for safe middle Ireland.

I see Jim is taking credit for the Dublin team now, gas man that lad......arrogant, not half!

I don't like it when it breaks into two towards the end of the season, after each team has played 33 matches.

    mijvhx.jpg

And the promotion/relegation play-offs are for nothing if the Premiership team wins the final - because it means that they stay up while the Championship teams stay down.

    That's two Kirstys we've mentioned tonight. :D;)

And while Kirsty Wark isn't as capable as Paxman was of doing things like asking "Did you threaten to overrule him?" over and over, I think she does have a sense of humour... :D;)

Amy Winehouse Goes To Dingle shortly on BBC Four :)

Have that in my recordings library on the box and often switch it on. It is a brilliant documentary and it's the most open I've seen Winehouse in an interview situation.

The full doc is available on youtube for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Why has she been a chat show host for ten years, then?

And surely she's some bit better than Tubs...

    :o:o:o:o;)

No, I don't think she's any better than Tubs, to be honest. Certainly not in the last 3 years.

The slot should be used to try out new talent, but that's the last thing the suits in RTE and the agents of the overpaid presenters like Tubs and Darcy want. It suits them to have Miriam there - she isn't a contender for the LLS anymore. Current Affairs is her home.

She gets reasonable ratings and never has guests who say anything which troubles the RTE Legal Department. That goes a long way in Montrose.

Well, it is probably fair to say that she has gone downhill with the show in the last three years, and not just as regards what she has been wearing. :o:o:o;)

That might also explain why they turned down her request for a reduced workload last year.

But they do have to realise that neither she nor the show can last forever, and that eventually they will have to try out something new.

(Apologies for taking so long to reply, BTW - I've just started a new job which doesn't leave much time for leisure. :()
