Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well this went down like a lead balloon.

Group stage is over and Quarter Final line up is

    USA V Cuba
    Haiti V Jamaica
    Trinidad and Tobago V Panama
    Mexico V Costa Rica

USA and Mexico at either end of the draw i guess that should be the Final but Mexico played out a 4-4 draw last night with Trinidad, and the US have been poor

The US got lucky to not have to play Costa Rica in the semis though I suppose?

Watched the first half of Cuba/Guat last night, and a cupla other games, pretty poor fare, a lot of sideways passing, serious lack of goalscoring threat from a lot of the teams.

Costa Rica have been bad 3 draws in the group stage, but then there has been lots of draws so far.

Till 9.22 today this tournament got the attention is deserves :D

Really was annoyed missing the late games in the Copa America but i cant say i feel i have missed anything with not seeing a minute of this.

Knock out might be more interesting.
    Have money on USA btw.

Well the Mexico vs Trin& Tobago had it all last night a 4-4 draw, but some dreadful scenes towards the end of the game.

Slight exaggeration there, a few bits of plastic bottles and cups is hardly dreadful. It was no Balkans war.

Ex LoI player in the Jamaican squad too, Ryan Thompson. No idea if he's got any game time though!

Jamaica 2-0 up on the U.S. In one semi-final. Mexico vs Panama in the second.

Their centre back Michael Hector was on loan to us a couple of seasons before Kenny came in (ie when we were rubbish)

Ugly scenes as Mexico beat Panama in semi-finals.

Mexico came from behind courtesy of two penalties - late in normal time and extra time - to win 2-1 in Atlanta.

Ref gave a penalty in the 88 minute and all hell breaks out !

My God that has to be one of the worst decisions ive ever seen, your man fell over while facing away from the ball and barely touches it when landing, criminal. Panama should have just walked.

As for the USA, they resorted to lump ball for the last 20. They had been getting success up until that point, should have gotten an equalizer but missed lots of chances.

Something seriously stinks here. That is 2 ridiculous last minute penalty calls in consecutive games for Mexico. That can't be a coincidence.

Yeah well... cant have a Panama - Jamaica final so Mexico needed and got a helping hand.
