Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Contador looks to be struggling. Quintana absent. Froome now a cobbles specialist to ass to yesterday's sprinting medal
Mountain passes, time trials, punchy classic type hills and cobbles. All while looking like a famine victim.

    Pinot dropped too *I think*

Sitting in work trying to follow text updates is a far cry from last summer, finished exams, cycling in the morning and panning out on the couch for the afternoon to watch the coverage... :(

Looking forward to the highlights.. have Vanmarcke... how's he looking?

    Andre Greipel
This is brilliant. Every time they enter a section of cobbles the tension is unreal.

Sagan is doing an absolutely amazing job of keeping Contador in the right place. In one of the overhead shots he spent more time looking back talking to Contador than he did looking ahead, while riding brilliantly on cobbles.

So who have we got in the front group. T. Martin, Cav, Griepel, Kristoff, Vanmarke, Bertie, Sagan, Froome, Oss, GVA, Dennis, Pinot, Nibbles, Boom, Peraud, & Costa plus nearly the whole Lotto Jumbo team any advance on that ?

Vanmarcke is looking good and Lotto Jumbo have 6 in the lead group, so very promising.

You know, losing 5 minutes may not be the worst thing. He can stage hunt and may be allowed into a break.

Sagan's talent on the bike is incredible...he could nearly pull a wheely for the whole cobble section if he wanted and he'd still go through it effortlessly

Yep, definitely prefer the top cyclists who can actually cycle a bike, rather than just push the pedals over real fast.

    Pinot in trouble

Froome riding v close to the front - no 7 or 8. Quintana doing a good job to hang on at the back of the lead group. Pinot had a mechanical.

Just one section to go - Kelly thinks that the chase group might come back in the final 20k

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,879 ✭✭✭D3PO

hard to follow whos in this front group but if im correct Sagan, GVA, Kristoff & Griepel will probably battle it out for the stage win ?

Pinot's GC hopes gone anyway...should be a threat for stages though which'll be good to see.

DG *I think* Boom is after dropping off

Dan Martin had a spill earlier, and is not in the front group with the rest of the GC guys.
