Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Eddie Pepperell is having a good round. I was very impressed with him at the Irish Open.

I hope somebody like him mounts a serious challenge rather than the expected players.

Joint leader now but into room 307 on 17

Great approach on 1st for Dunne

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Pity about 17 but Pepperell is -8.

Course getting lit up with birdies now. Great viewing.

Good par save from Harrington there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 892 ✭✭✭Ben1977

Now 2 Irish in with a great chance PH to -9

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Johnson's drive at the 2nd was 350 yards.........effortless. He has such an advantage when he finds the fairway. But he misses his birdie.

Why aren't bbc showing anything of Harrington?

I don't think the coverage of the players has been good today. Seeing odd putts here and there no idea how there hitting on tee shots and second shots

    They are

Was just wondering what kind of score Rory would have put in? It's a course he loves and with softer greens and a bit of a breeze today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 320 ✭✭lostatsea

That was a beautiful swing out of the rough (perfect balance) on 13 from Padraig. He's playing the way he played in the Honda. His putts are going in at a perfect speed. Great to see him playing like this. He really can win it.

Actually with Rory and Tiger absent, I think we are seeing a lot more players.

That wouldn't be good for either of them although Padraig would come off better

    -10 for him now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Spieth in the zone. Joint leader.

Fantastic from Paul Dunne. He must think he's dreaming. Let's hope he gets to lead as he'll remember that for the rest of his life.

    Ya, wtf happened there.
Doesn't look like Johnson will birdie the par 5 either.
