So if one wanted a romantic-ish and not bank breakingly expensive night out, where would one go in D15? Just wondering like ;)

On the outskirts of D15 but a spin to the airport with a couple of hot chocolates is cheap and cheerful and kinda romantic.

Depends what kind of date you want!

There's some nice spots around Dublin 15, a walk in the Phoenix Park (see if Farmleigh or the visitor centre have anything on) or the canal (or another park) followed by lunch at any of the many coffee shops.

Bowling and arcade games in Leisureplex!

    Comedy/other in Draoicht

Maxamillions in the Supervalu complex is a great spot for a couples dinner, ask for a table in the 'piano bar', its a nice area and they tend to have a bit of live lounge music on weekends.

Pretty good alright. Dont expect a euro saver menu though.

If you're feeling a bit cultural, see what's on in Draíocht. Other than that there is obviously the cinema or bowling (:D) and lots of restaurants around.

For drinks a little out of the way, Angler's Rest or Strawberry Hall? But you are reliant on taxis then, should be ok with Hailo or similar though.

Always a good atmosphere in Castello Brunos in Castleknock, it can be busy but if you go around 9.30 it will have started to empty and the menu has very reasonable options on it, maybe throw in a bit of star gazing in the Phoenix Park nearby. Just watch out for the deer and the doggers and cottagers and joyriders;)

As far as restaurants go, Thai Garden is all candlelit and could be a bit romantic (I'm normally there with family so I don't really notice)

Heard there is a new pub/restaurant opened called the Great Wood.

Cheap food, cheap beer, now that's what I call romantic.:D

I was recently in Browns steakhouse on the Main St in Blanch - opposite Ulster Bank. They do an early bird menu if you are there before 7.00.

What made it particularly good was that they have 3 Philipino men who came in and went round every table looking for requests. For foreigners their repertoire is amazing.
