cheque lodging

    Hi...I lodged cheque from government of canada ...my tax return... They told me for clearing time is 4 til 7 weeks... Is it possible that I will maybe get sooner :) its lodged on my boi acc..thanks

    Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.

    When a foreign cheque is lodged to your account, it will need to be sent to the issuing bank for clearance. This process can take approximately 4-6 weeks. 

    Unfortunately, we would not be able to advise if a cheque will be cleared on your account sooner than 4 weeks.
