Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If all these people are going to SKY surely some must be leaving SKY

Can't see any of the UK lads leave but wonder about Henao & Nieve as they didn't get to ride the Tour. And has anyone heard anything about Deignan

I was reading a transfer rumor round up and at the end it said Sky were hopeful that they'd retain Deignan. Please god no :(

I thought Deignan is contracted until end of 2016 ? He got a very raw deal at Sky this year and Id love to see him somewhere hed get a good chance of riding the tour with.

Nieve, Henao & Deignan would be super pickups for any WT team looking to challenge GC on the GTs

As much as Garmin seem to be weakening, what about Lampre they look to be of a pretty poor standard next season as things stand.

That's the advantage of a team having loads of money I suppose. In terms of glory, a move to the likes of Europcar would give riders like Deignan way more chance ofsuccess, but in a short career Sky's ability presumably to give comparatively big wages must speak pretty loud.

I was hoping Richie Porte may bring Deignan to BMC
Porte may want some known faces around him and they are very friendly
He would not get a better dom at the Tour or Giro/Vuelta

I would love if both Deignan & Roche were not at SKY. Not just because of the talent at SKY that curtails their chances for personal success but also the formulaic riding

Both Irish riders imo need a less stringent setup to make the most of their opportunisic talents.

I know Roche is now getting a chance at SKY but if any other team bar Movistar & Astana he would be the undisputed leader...

Not sure about undisputed leader but he'd certainly have more chances. Happy he's being let of the leash now though. Deignan however needs to move on, him not getting a GT is very disappointing.

Is Deignan out of contract? SOunds the right kind of fit for him all right.
In terms of Roche, he's obviously going nowhere for a while but it's a pity he's not somewhere like Trek where he really would be a team leader in many/most races. He'd be as good a bet as Frank Schleck surely!

I would love to see Roche as a team lead, but reading between the lines of previous diaries I think he found the pressure of carrying the weight of expectations of a whole team in the Tour de France a bit much.

Peter Stetina has signed for Trek Factory Racing.
I wish him all the best given the horrific crash he had in the Tour of the Basque Country earlier this year.

Quite the war chest of one-day racers they're building.

Today has been a busy day on the transfer market.

Jurgen Van den Broeck signs one-year deal with Katusha

Luka Mezgec signs two-year deal with Orica-GreenEdge

And it has been reported that Trek's Danny van Poppel will sign for Sky.

Mark Cavendish to ride for MTN next season (renamed Team Dimension Data), along with Mark Renshaw and some more ex-HTC staff and riders possibly. Is this a good move for him?

Yeah, but it's gonna be the Cav/Renshaw/Farrar show now. Even the name is worse (and probably the kit too).

    Not cool man :(

I used to actually like him but ever since the Veelers crash which he intentionally caused and hadn't the decency to even apologise directly to Veelers about, I think he's a complete prick and hope some day the same happens to him to put an end to his career.

You hope Cavendish's career is ended because of this:

    Bit harsh?

Crash is at about 57 seconds

I don't think Cav did much wrong there. He's probably thrown harder shoulders in training.
