E586 Faulty button?

    Is the modem switch faulty or am I using it wrong.

    Three symbol shows in window. I press and hold button and then battery symbol
    displays and green light is on but I’m still not connected.

    Then I press and hold button again, and it powers off and Three sign displays.

    Then I press and hold button again, and finally ‘connecting’ displays.


    It’s a right pain.

    Can anyone tell me with these type of modems, is it 'normal' to experience the problems I'm having as outlined in above post as its driving me mad :D or could a mod move this to a more appropriate forum.
