Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey everyone,
Having poked around at the AMD R9 390 from Sapphire and XFX, they both state that a 750w PSU is minimum PSU required for the card? Why?
Having seen many reviews and analysis, the R9 390 never broke the 350W mark in a gaming workload and only managed 390W in 3DMark.
Is this a blanket statement to cover themselves or will performance actually be hindered?
For the record, I plan on building with an Intel i5 Skylake CPU when they release, which should really only hang around the 95W mark.

They say 750w as alot of people buy cheap ass psu's that barely hit half what they claim to do.
550w is enough for a single gpu system. (Unless your oc your processor an awful lot and running lots of other bits too)

As redfox says, its idiot proofing. Buy a decent 5 or 600W 80+ unit and youll be fine.
