Im guessing this could be a good place to ask so here it goes.

I got A3 plans for a woodwork project and I need them copied to exact 1-1 scale.

Does anyone know of such a place that can do this in Naas area.

I tried tiling them with an a4 printer and its 1mm out.

99% of copies at this level will result in slight changes in scale.
You will never get 1:1 scales unless you reprint the original.

Surely the teacher would know that also and have it built into his allowances for marking the project?

In guessing its not ever going to be right. Was at another stationary shop today with bad results again. 3mm out from one side of a3 to the other.

The plans are for a wooden geared pendulum clock. Not much tolerance.

I am going to have to paste the original plans to the timber as templates . If I make a mistake, I am screwed.

The copies are ok on the small gears, but some gears are 300mm in diameter. Bad copies make egg shaped gears.

MIght try and get the PDF file of him.

Would A3 photocopies not be good enough??

That's the point, photocopies are outside tolerance.

Try to get all the parts required on to a A1-A0 sheet and print all out on one sheet at least any scale variation between parts will be equal with this approach.
