Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I've been swimming for a year and it's like a fix for me now.
    Anyone else get this.

    I go maybe 5-6 times a week. Minimum 50-60 lengths a session.
It really has so many benefits for mind and body.
Always feel more relaxed after a swim.
    The breathing is very meditative.
And great knowing you're working all the body's muscles.

Hard to think of a better mind/body workout.

Your still in the honey moon stage:D

Glad your enjoying it....now set a goal and try a sea swim, then do a sea race, then qualify for racing in the Liffey swim....all achievable....

Managed to do 1 km continuous freestyle today. Delighted with myself.
Couldn’t picture doing that before-took along while to get happy with doing multiple lengths freestyle with good technique. Very positive about it now though. 😀

Join a Masters group. You'll improve a lot very quickly just 'trying to keep up'.

Also, if you haven't already, maybe get some 1-2-1 technique lessons where video analysis is involved.

Those two things were what improved my swimming greatly.

Fair play on the continuous 1K.

Ps Yes, swimming is like a fix epecially when you like the masters group that you are in. It's hard to keep away even when you should. Ha ha.
