I see a lad met Dustin on a night out the other night and ended up caddying for him in royal Dublin the next day.

Nice little treat for the lad.

I hope he just gave him a few quid as a thank you, rather than a Dustin style 'treat'.

He's a good mate of mine and he's unreal at being in the right place at the right time for all those things. Absolutely unreal to meet DJ and then caddy for him. Some of the best days of his life.

It would be nice to see him win the Open this week and redeem himself.

I think DJ is one of the most naturally gifted and athletic golfers ever to play the game. I hope he wins a major soon to get that monkey off his back.

I would agree, he's the only one out there that can match Rory in the sense that he can go up that extra gear and make the rest look very ordinary.

Dustin has been unlucky. When he got the 2 shot penalty in the PGA that Kaymer won it was a technical breach of the rules but he wasnt trying to gain an advantage. Just short in the US open aswell. Deserves a major.

Redeem himself? Jesus, the man isn't a robot. A talented golfer who might have indulged himself a little off the course, like a lot of men do on a regular basis. He doesn't owe the public anything.

Met him down at the JP Pro AM many years ago and he was a complete gentleman.

There is definitely a mental weakness in his game. I thought his 3-putt in the US Open was a choking error - I know it was a slick down-hill putt but to 3-putt was unforgiveable. His second putt didn't touch the hole.

His shank on the par 5 in the British Open was a shocker. His final round collapse in the US Open when McDowell won showed more weakness.

I'd love him to win but I think the mental scars build up over time and take their toll.

I'd also imagine that his off-course activities are far from over. I don't think his fellow pro will forgive him for sleeping with his former wife as that little episode ended in divorce. I love watching DJ play but I wouldn't put a cent on him.

Redeem himself for the misses he's had on the course not off the course.
