Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I recently got a puppy from the north he was microchiped and i was given paperwork to fill in and return to anibase in the uk. Do i need to register the microchip here or are all these databases connected. I have put the chip number in fido.ie and it doesn't show up. I just want to make sure if my dog is lost his details can be found. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

If you search http://www.europetnet.com/ you should be able to see that the pup is registered to Anibase.

You will need to register the pup with Fido yourself as this is a separate database. Now should the pup be picked up and scanned then technically the finder should be able to get the details from Anibase. However as you are in the South then I would recommend that you register the chip on an Irish database such as Fido.

Fido are, to my mind, the microchip database of choice, in terms of accessibility and user-friendliness.
