Downgrading from iOS9 to iOS8

I'm trying to downgrade from iOS9 Beta to iOS8 (it's too buggy). I d/loaded the latest version of iOS8 to my laptop, backed up my iPhone and then performed the downgrade. It worked however, now I can't restore my phone as I need the latest version of iOS to do so. I believe, as I backed up the phone when I was in iOS9, it needs iOS9 in order to perform the backup. What can I do?

I haven't backed the phone since I got it (Feb) so no point resorting to an old backup.

You can't restore a backup you made on ios9 onto ios8. You should have made a backup before updating to the beta. So unless you want to restore your old backup from february, you'll have to set up as a new phone I believe.

Yeah, you should have made a backup and archived it before installing the beta. Apple have instructions to do this on the public beta site.

I’m not sure there’s anything you can do except set up as a new phone and sync what you can from iCloud. If necessary you can also get an app to access the iOS 9 backup and pull what you can from it. Photos, etc.
