    Most carriers offer pretty cheap rates on roaming these days.

    went to holland there for a weekend, got a 1gb roaming bundle for 14.99 (on meteor sim-only plan) which was perfect for the weekend! They said it was european-wide.

    Hi I'm in Spain at the moment I wanted a payg sim for Internet dongle went with Vodafone but you could check other main providers like Orange or Movistar also Carphone warehouse Spanish store is called phonehouse they do their own sim called happy Movil.

    That's quite expensive, Vodafone red roaming is €2.99/day (all EU, except UK which is €1.99) which includes 500mb of data per day and also all calls and texts.
