Needing a new board and CPU and I am thinking I7 but what is the best bang for your buck on these chips, or the sweat spot as they call it. Them hexa cores look pricey when you add in the ram. Should I just be aiming for a regular I7?

    Thanks.

If you aren't overclocking you can go for a h97 board and the non-K version of an i5. Fill out the template (see stickies) if you want us to put together a build for your budget :)

I'd be thinking Xeon and a H97 for 350 or so.

This is personal stuff the Photoshop, or do you need commercial grade

A Xeon then. It's an i7 without an iGPU, €250 or so
