Email address cache on Gmail App/iPhone

As the title says - how do I clear my email address cache from the gmail app in iOS. I've tried deleting my gmail account, clearing the iPhone cache and adding the account back, but my rogue, out of date, email addresses are still there.. Thanks

Clear them from your gmail account using a browser.

That seemed to work on my PC, but its still occuring on my iPhone

They should go after a refresh try rebooting phone and sync mail again
