Any sports etc that would interest you that could determine your choice of destination? How long were you thinking; any budget plans yet? Inside Ireland or elsewhere? Would an external company be an option <- a few mentions of varying ones recently in other threads in here :)

    Thanks,

do you want to spend the week in one place OP?

If not why not fly in to one place and out of another, give you somewhere to get to not that you'd be rushing to the second destination.

E.g, fly in to Madrid and train it to Barcelona/Malaga/Valencia and fly home from there.

Fly in to Bratislava and out of Vienna.

In to Lisbon and up the coast to Porto.

this pairing is almost too near, and Bratislava would not be my idea of ideal for a break of any kind if it can be avoided at all.
I can think of many dozens of places that I would visit quicker than Bratislava.
Its not quite a hole, but not far off it. Like a glorified Navan, although thats sortof giving Navan a bad name, and Navan town centre is nearly bigger and more to see.

I Cohen driving all the way up through Portugal to be quite boring. The stoop off points are much less interesting than say Bilbao to Barcelona where you could go to San Sebastián, Burgos, Pamplona, Zaragoza (one of my favourites) and end up in Barcelona, Girona, Perpignan or Carcassone (if flights are better than Barcelona).

the perfect place to do a fly drive imo is Italy.. fly into Pisa, tour Tuscany - Florence/Sienna/Lucca/san gimignano as well as all the smaller less known towns like Vichi & leave from Bologna or even Rome depending on time.

Very harsh, but damn funny way of putting it! Getting off the train in Bratislava from Vienna is a surreal experience however

I though this was cool in Bratislava

And would like to do this

Any destinations that might interest you e.g. Stuttgart has the Mercedes Benz & Porsche museums,
There's meant to be a great science museum near Paris (nearing CDG I think)
    Or aviation museums ?

I think Bratislava is a nice city - its not huge but its great to base yourself there. You can easy visit Austria, Hungary and Czech Republic from there via train or boat. A day or two in Bratislava is not a waste.
