Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'll be interested to see if Ireland target Keelan Giles this evening. He's a small winger, so putting a few up and unders down his wing might be useful. Get the likes of Conor O'Brien, Shane Daly and Jacob Stockdale chasing. He is also unusually young for U20's as he is still young enough to play u18's, as is Reuben Morgan-Williams.

Also, Leon Brown on the Welsh bench could be a useful impact sub in the last quarter of the game. He's a big lad.

What the hell do the SA kicking coaches feed these guys?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

What a try by Bravin, and then he did a monster tackle
Argentina conveyor belt of athletic and fast packs looks like it continues

Are we a very undersized team or are the Welsh lying about the age of their entire squad? They're huge!

    I wouldn't say that.......
Lot of welsh have played regional rugby and it shows compared to how many irish whove played pro12(1 I think)...

If we got another score before halftime to go in 17-10 it wouldn't be that bad.......

looked like Welsh player only did downward pressure with his legs there...

To much theory and messing with their heads not enough physical intensity on the training pitch and it clearly shows.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

that was much better from Stockdale

Claffery got sin binned Vs Wales for much less for block (on the same player mind)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

That's a try, and someone needs to be binned.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,699 ✭✭✭The Pheasant2

    Yes lads!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Well now, that was a well worked try for Ireland. Great stuff from the pack.

Good conversion , two point game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 231 ✭✭turtleshead

Great response after looking dead and buried after 15 mins or so, McBurney has been impressive really carries strong and always willing to offer himself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Well fair play to the lads - scoring bang on half time is perfect. Only two points in it now.

Can't believe the amount of bad penalties given away and not even a warning.

Great effort from the lads to get in only 2points down at the half. Good chance now first 10'of second half will be key

Needs to sort out his throwing though.

Thought the arms went across his upper chest for that tackle...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Wtf no sin bin?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Not sure how many warnings he's going to give to the Welsh. Lucky to avoid a sin binning there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Pretty ridiculous that is Wales' first warning, should have a man in the bin at this stage.

Ref bottled that, yellow all day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ireland in front. That's been excellent work by Ireland.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

What a turnaround. I thought they were going to get blitzed after the ropey start they had.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

    ahhhh Kerins
that was great stuff by Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Lovely play there. Pity about the knock on in the end.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,062 ✭✭✭blackcard

Lovely to see offloading by an Irish team

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,257 ✭✭✭Hagz

It just seems inevitable that when you watch the Irish u20s year on year they're going to concede penalties at every second scrum. It's such a handicap.
