Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Georgia scored 3 tries and win 18-17.
They missed 12 kickable points, and un unallowed try.
Italy scored a converted try at the last second, but the win was already secured for the georgians.

They lost by 1 point against Wales, and won against Italy so I also think they deserves a sport in U20 6 Nations.

Hopefully not cursing him but McPhillips has settled in well. It's important he does. I think there is a gap between Johnston and McPhillips so hopefully he does well.

Let off for us as they miss the penalty.

Nice grubber kick into touch in the 22 by McPhillips pins them back again.

Pumas had us under pressure there, but good defence go gain a penalty.

Ireland look very assured in possession.

Argentina showed more energy and passion during their anthem than they have in the first twenty minutes of the match.

Greg Jones is playing really well. Conor O'Brien looks good at 12 as well.

    Great pace by Deegan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,006 ✭✭✭Moflojo

Max Deegan intercepts on his own 22m line and runs the length of the field for a try in the corner.

What a try, great legs to finish!

Fabulous run the length of the pitch by Deegan - great interecept. Great try and conversion.

    Great conversion to boot

Touchline conversion from the left by McPhillips is good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Kerins is getting the ball out very quickly. McPhillips kicking well.

They were involved in the u18s Elite Championship's, consistently bet Italians and evening knocking ireland out in 2015's comp where they reached the final..
There doesn't seem to be an elite comp this year only a U18 European Championship and France are the only 6Nations teams to appear to be in it
I'm sure there is some reason but it looks like sour grapes from the traditional nations

Very solid defence. Forwards are immense. And half back partnership is very impressive.

Jacob Stockdale again. Lovely lovely try.

Stockdale again. Great offload from left winger to Stockdale, he broke a tackle and stepped inside the last defender to score under the posts.

    Conversion good.

McPhillips looks like a really talented rugby player. I'm just not convinced he is a 10 with the control of someone like Johnston.

Ireland not letting Pumas get going at all. Really up for this. Full of energy and intent. Great to watch.

    Argies try 38 mins, 21 - 7, 39 mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,006 ✭✭✭Moflojo

Pressure from Argentina for the last few minutes. Grubber kick through the defence touched down by Argentina No. 13.

    Conversion is good.

Pity to let the get that try just before half time. No need to take risks like that. Excellent half though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,758 ✭✭✭RedemptionZ

Game management needed now. Argies will implode and start throwing stupid passes if our defence stays strong. Game is ours unless we throw this away.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,233 ✭✭✭ClanofLams

I thought the pen in lead up to Arg try was very harsh. Looked like their flanker just dived off feet and laid on the ball

Well this generation will be 26-27 y-o in 2023. Add some older "emerging" like Byrne, Daly, Tracy, Robb, SOB 2.0, Masterson, Holland..... And we're ready to win our home RWC!!!!!!
