It's already been announced. He should be swapped for Stockdale right now.

I'm really worried about Max Deegan being lost within the Leinster Academy, he is such a talent but gonna just be another talented backrower in their conveyor belt that they just seem to churn out
All 3 provinces would be drooling to get him, particularly Ulster

If Nucifora gets his way Deegan would be off to another province in a year or two. Probably Porter too.

That was a complete performance, a joy to watch! Complete control, some great moves and a scrum on top! Roll on the final!

That should be a yellow for Argentina really. Their discipline has been woeful.

Fantastic performance. The final to come and the future of Irish rugby looks very bright.

I fancy we can take out the All-Blacks again.

Fantastic win, really in control. Some group of players coming through and a couple of potential big future leaders.

Leinster would be mad to let Deegan go.

Oh jaysus Leinster would be mental to let him go
But would it be best for Deegan to stay with Heaslip, Conan, O'Brien, Jordi Murphy etc infront
He'd almost walk into the Ulster backrow with Coetze out

If they do go there is nothing to stop them returning to Leinster in few years after they have developed

Have to remember we were missing Claffery, O'Donnell, Gallagher and Bill Johnson- wow

I was impressed with O'Connor, lad who partnered Ryan

Superb performance once again. One more game now. Really hope they do it now

the future of Irish rugby looks in great hands - I really worried after we lost to a young Pumas team 6 months ago - but the past month has been great for Irish rugby - Deegan, Ryan and Porter looks serious prospects - to out muscle any Pumas team takes some doing. Massive well done to whole squad and Carolan.

The speed of the ball coming from the bottom of the ruck is phenomenal. Kerins really gives a fantastic pass.

Unbelievable result for Ireland and have been playing some cracking rugby this tournament. How many of the team are still eligible for next year's tournament?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

England looking pretty good too, potentially a cracker of a final.

We've won the tournament before when it was U21 I'm fairly sure. Heaslip and a few others were in the team.

Edit, I might be making up that we won it. But we made the final anyway.

U19s in 98 I read earlier today. O Callaghan, Wallace and O Driscoll on the team.

Yeah you're right, I got the two sides confused. Heaslip et al made the final, but the team you mentioned won it.

Anyone know where you can put tickets up for the final? Ticketmaster is as clear as mud.

Georgia are hosting next year, think the tournament has been in Argentina in the past too. Surly we have better rugby playing facilities than those countries
