Unable to access www.odeoncinemas.ie

    For weeks now, I have been unable to access www.odeoncinemas.ie
    So decided to troubleshoot today.
    I can access when connecting directly via ethernet to UPC Modem (TC7200 in bridged mode) but cannot connect via my router Asus RT-AC66U

    I have tried 2 different PCs, Chrome and IE via ethernet and several phones via wifi. Have also tried Google and Opendns for DNS settings.

    Having no problems with any other sites that I know of.
    Any ideas on what it could be?

    I noticed it too.

    To verify the site itself wasn't down I accessed through my mobile provider Three.

    I've had problems in the past like this with UPC and reported all the details but got no response.

    This is most likely with the DNS UPC are using. Have you guys tried changing to Google DNS or OpenDNS (or others...) on your computers? I've found that whatever DNS server UPC use is rubbish.

    tostao1014 - I can access if I connect by Ethernet to the UPC modem, just not via my Asus router, but I've no idea why that makes a difference
    Alanstrainor- I've already tried different DNS and it makes no difference

    Something is up with the Router then, possibly a firewall issue. Was is the result if you do a tracrt on the cmd line to the address

    I haven't tried and Ethernet connection yet, I will need to dig out a cable.

    It's certainly not a firewall issue.

    It's not DNS Google returns the same address.

    No Ethernet makes no difference for me.

    When I raised the issue with UPC I reported issues with routing. As the traceroute above shows UPC don't know where to send the taffic

    No. It just means that one hop on the route is dropping ICMP traffic for some reason, possibly due to it being overloaded.

    I'm on UPC too, and see the same behaviour from tracert, but I have no problem accessing the website.
