My first phone back in 1999 was the phillips diga on eircell and i still use the same phone number, the phone is now in it's box in the attic and i think the sheets of "my phone number" stickers are still with it too lol

I still have a few of my other early phones about the house too, the mitsubishi trium, the motorola star tac, sony ericcson k800i and z310 and the nokia 3510i.
The star tac was one of my favourites, the z310 was by far the worst i ever owned and i swore i would never buy a SE again!

Alcatel One Touch Easy I loved it so much! I think it's still knocking around the attic in my parents' house.

Some Motorola brick yoke on Eircell Ready to Go. Then Philips Sagem, after that I went with a variety of Nokia phones.

Some sort of Motorola back in 2001, massive looking yoke with compared to the phones today.

    Panasonic g520.

First touch screen was the LG Viewty. Couldn't call it a smart phone though.

Nokia 3210. Bought it in 1999 with my first paycheck of my first proper summer job when I was 16. 99 pounds on Ready To Go :)

Lasted 4 years, until the battery just couldn't cut it. Then i had a 3410, the one with the clear cover, cant remember the model number, then I got a Nokia 6230i. Fantastic phone that was, lasted another 4 years or so. Had a colour camera and played MP3's :)

First mobile I used was a talking brick in the early 1990s - had a summer job working in a new motorway, so we had one of these so head office could keep track of us and send us to the next job.

Had some Panasonic yoke when I was diddling in the UK in the mid 90's - brought it home at Christmas and a few of my mates were amazed, ranging people from the pub etc.

My first own phone was a Motorola startac - nice little phone at the time and the first one I sent a text message on. Signal was crap - if you stepped inside a building it didn't work, if you got a call you had to get to the nearest window for any chance of hearing. So was battery - you'd be doing well to get a day out of it on one charge

My first mobile was an Alcatel, not mobile, but permanently fitted to the car. First portable was a Mitsubishi MT-3, fitted to the car, but removable. The potable unit was fitted in the boot, but could be removed and used as a portable phone with the handset attached, was about the size of the old portable cassette players!!

Green Ericsson GF768. One line LCD display and flip down button cover. Thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Had various Nokias and Sony Ericssons until smartphones came out.

All time favourite was the Nokia 8210, smallest phone I've ever owned and only a few grams heavier than an S4.

A sagem, thought it looked cool.

I had ten minutes talk time per month...

Every call started with "Call me back"... and ended abruptly.

Samsung. Pretty sure it was this one. Great phone, think it still works perfectly.

An Ericsson A-something, quite the brick! First in my family to have a mobile, got the September before I started college in big old bad Dublin!!

I remember clearly that if it stopped working, stalled or jammed, the quickest way to get it to work was to throw it on the floor, it worked perfectly! Lasted a full year until I found a Panasonic on a night out, no owner to be found so I adopted it

The first 3 phones were 'family' phones:

    Nokia 3310
    Nokia 3220
    Nokia 6070

And then I bought my own, starting with the Samsung Chat 355, then my first smart phone, Sony Xperia Tipo, then I went back to a feature phone, Nokia 208 (which I still use).

I then bought my elderly father a Doro PhoneEasy 606.

    Nokia 5110, savage phone!

My dad had a bright yellow one! I have great memories of sitting in the car pretending I was a business woman on the phone :D

Mine was a Nokia 3210 when I was 14....I thought I was the height of sophistication at the time!

When I compare it to my current phone though (an Iphone 4S) I cringe that used to own such a brick!

I had this one too!! I think it was only available with Vodafone at the time, which broke my faithful-to-meteor heart.
First phone was in 5th class, it was a Motorola wap, then when that broke, I got a 3310. Had my mothers phone bill through the roof ringing up those numbers for picture messages and ringtones.
Then a sharp gx10i, first person in school to have a camera phone. Then had that pink one, had a tiny little silver one can't remember the make but it was very like the pink one, a range of Samsung ones, a pink razr phone, a pink Samsung phone and then onto my iPhones. I wonder why I never went back to Nokia, they were a great phone. I would not be surprised if that 3310 was still working
