How long to get personal loan? + few questions.

    Hey, long story short:

    I need to buy new car to get to work (and for driving generally), have job with decent salary etc...

    I don't want to use bus for 3 months then buy car, I am wondering if I can get personal loan for around 8000 Eur and how long does it take to process if I can supply all documents fast?

    Also are repayment periods only available for year or can it be say 6 months too?

    Never dealt with loans but have to now.

    Generally, if you are suitable for credit and have all the documentation to hand the process can be quick. PTSB and AIB are promising approvals within 3 hours and (if I recall correctly, PTSB told me when I enquired you should get the funds pretty quickly: 48 hours or so, but I stand to be corrected).

    AIB have a Talk to..forum on the site, and their reps will give you information on their turnaround time, I'm sure.
