From the Facebook feed of one of Galway's more outspoken chefs tonight:

Sounds new and horrific? Well horrific, yes. But smart people who click the link provided will note the 2007 date at the top of the article.

He's not clueless, so you gotta wonder what motive he has for bringing this up now.

Not a fan of his but this seems to be a recent article no? Some of the food in question was dated 2007?!

Try to see if he'll respond to a question on his facebook?

I'm not a friend of his, so cannot ask him any questions.

I saw the article shared 4 times today on Facebook. There was no published date mentioned in this version, so it's an easy mistake to assume that the article is recent.

That is the problem with relying on information from sources like twit-ter and farcebook, often what has been uploaded is only part of a bigger item or as in this case old news offered as if it happened yesterday.

You mean Joyces!? It's ok to say Joyces..it's in the article. Does it matter what his motives are?...it's in print, it happened, it's public record.

It's not their only court appearance over some shady practices either. No harm in people knowing who they are dealing with.

He also genuinely seemed to think it was recent...he reiterated that in a reply to somebody. It's not recent but throw it together with some other stories related to Joyces (also in the public domain, you can search them out for yourself, if you'd like) and it doesn't paint a favorable picture at all. So his influence or agenda against them (which is speculated) wouldn't make me shed any tears

    Interesting timing.

Why? Is there more to this or something? Did he sign some deal with Super Valu or something?
