SEPA - Standing Orders

Does anyone know if the SEPA agreement impacted the time for processing Standing orders or just the the use of IBAN and BIC? For example would a SO from AIB still take 2-3 days to be processed? Does anyone know if an AIB SO sent on a Friday would hit on a Monday(SEPA) or Wednesday?
