Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

Has anybody got any opinions on the Siswoo C55 Longbow Smartphone as it seems very good value for money and seems to be in the same price and spec bracket as the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 which seems to be very popular at the moment.

Never used (nor heard) of it, but from the specs it looks really good for the price. If it is actually running android 5.1 then it's way ahead of most other devices including some new ones. And it has a microSD card, which only the LGG4 kept in this round of flagships.

Downsides would be the screen. It's a comparatively low resolution for devices that size (5.5"), but in day to day use it wont make a difference. There are people who will avoid devices with mediatek chips but I'm not sure why.

The battery is also a great size, kicking the ass of the Galaxy S6 by 1000mAh! Not sure what the performance will be like with that SoC though. Maybe you can find some reviews of it elsewhere. For that price, you really can't go wrong with this phone.

Dunno much about it, but the name is hugely impressive. I'm reminded of the WASP T12 Speechtool. :pac:

use it since 4 weeks now, can highly recommend it. Real value for money, runs absolutely smooth, no issues.
    Android 5.1, antutu benchmark >31000.
There are phones with a higher screen resolution but if you're not addicted to this feature the C55 is absolutely satisfying.
Three days battery life with average use.

Check chinese sellers (e.g. alibaba), even with custom fees you may safe some €. Got it for 140.00 - don't think you'll find a comparable mobile for that money (5.5", 5.1, 16GB+2GB, octa core...)

What's the camera like on it?

rear 13MP + front 5MP, good quality pics, face detection, flash is fine for indoor pics - nothing to complain.
You definitely do not need an additional camera any more.
