    Hi there,

Just posting this as a bit of a long shot, I know quite a few taxi drivers have been known to view this thread. I got a taxi from Montague St, D2 "The Colossus Casino" to Capel St at approximately 8.00/8.30 am on Saturday morning and my phone slipped out of my pocket in the car.

Driver was Irish and we chatted away on the trip and I think he would be a regular enough card player in the Collosus club, but I didn't get his name because to be honest I was fairly well on at the time.

The phone was on silent when I dropped it and rang out during the day but has been off since Sat evening.

If anyone thinks they might be able to help me they can PM me on here. Thanks.

Any chance you have this activated? it would show your phones last location

    Information about the Carriage Office
The Carriage Office no longer deals with lost property. There are 5 designated Garda stations in the Dublin area that manage property that has been found in taxis. The stations are:

    Irishtown: 01 666 9600
    Store Street: 01 666 8000
    Finglas: 01 666 7500
    Tallaght: 01 666 6000
    Shankill: 01 666 5900

Google seems to think the Carriage office doesn't handle lost property any more, apparently any Garda station does the job now. Surely makes things a lot harder for people, unless I ring every Garda station in Dublin.

At the very least it makes things 5 times less practical. Assuming the driver doesn't live near any of those stations, he would pick one of them at random or else just drop it into his local station, where someone, if they think of it, will then pick one of them at random. So I could ring each of those five daily for the next two weeks in the hope it ends up in one of them, or I could try everything I can think of to find it by realistic methods.

Also I hadn't refreshed the page when you commented and I thanked your post so thanks for the four rolleyes, I hope you don't go blind.
