Thanks but I decided last night to go with the S6. The price has dropped considerably in the last month so its only E100 more now and I'd pay that for the fast charging alone.

Amazon - £401 fulfilled by amazon.

(Did the currency conversion E140 more - estimates were slightly off)

Please remove be from the list. As mentioned a few pages back I got an invite.

Phone arrived today (11th Sept) – rural Ireland, ordered on 3rd September with standard shipping. Shipped from China on September 7th.
I ordered the 64gb model, no accessories.

Well done. We're sitting here pulling our hair out. Ordered on the second and still processing. Tbh I'm not in a hurry for the phone, but the lack of communication from them is annoying. You start to get a bit concerned when people who ordered after you are getting their orders.

At a wedding for the weekend and my phone arrives an hour after I leave the house.

Their website claims the order can't be cancelled once the status goes to processing, which is absolute BS because it's status changed for me straight away, so I never had a hope of ever cancelling from the very start. I wonder if I rang the bank for a charge back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,582 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

My order has finally gone to processing from pending shipment.Placed on 1st with no extras or asseccories.
They seem to have no system in place at all to process and dispatch orders correctly.I was thinking of opening a Paypal dispute if status didnt change today.
The company seems to have learned no lessons from last year and have actually regressed.

Mine was "Pending Shipment" since 1/9/15 and today is "Processing" .

I actually don't know if that is a forwards or backwards step.

no idea either. i hope its forward. i can see this crowd going under. hard to see how they could sell a 3rd model phone after this fiasco. carl pei should resign for this. his statement yesterday was all apology and no solutions. well except possibly the "1 hour open sale", which if you ask me is like throwing petrol on a fire. that statement he put out yesterday sounded like something from a broken man.

i hope your phone ships soon dude. i have possibly another 2 weeks to wait with their 17 business days "express delivery" :D

"Processing" is the stage after "Pending Shipment". No idea why, would make more sense if it was the other way around. Trying to get on to live chat and see if I can get a whereabouts of the phone.

Yep got the LG G4 for a about 50 over the OPT myself as it's dropped in price, and that's with everything hardware that's missing in both the S6 and OPT... Me = happy!:D

    .
    .
    .
    .
Edit: ok the cpu is 6 core not 8 and has 3GB ram not 4 but in real life testing it makes no difference sooo.. me still happy!

I opened live chat earlier and was 95th in queue and 2300 minutes estimate to chat!

Dont mind that,it only took me ten minutes to get on and I started off at 64.
Makes no odds they cant give you any answers bar generic BS.

They just told me ,mine will definitely be dispatched within 3 days and I will have it by the 18th Sep:rolleyes:

Just read a few posts on the mess that is the opo forums and there are people who only ordered a few days ago saying they've received the phone. Some job, if I could cancel now I would and buy a Moto X instead.

They have obviously made a monumental **** up somewhere in the last 10-12 days.Seems to be very little problems for anyone who ordered since the 3/9/15.

Is that the Moto X Pure Edition you are talking about ?

Theres a bunch of clowns running OnePlus.

Think Ill skip the OP2 and their stupid "invite" system.

Hopefully the new Nexus devices will be decent!

The thing is once we actually get it ,it will be a brilliant device its just that they have messed up massively in the last few days.Processing of orders seems to be all over the place.

Well the chat lady said that the phone wasn't lost, it was being shipped from china to the uk for some reason. I'll get it next week at some stage. At least it's not lost in the system as I thought cause guys ordering after me(3/9) seemed to get the phone already.

Will it though? To me it appears that there are so many options in the same price range which don't involve this crap ordering process, which was not the case when the OPO came out

The phone isn't as appealing as the OPO when it came out and it certainly isn't a flagship killer. There's decent alternatives available to buy instead and there will be more available by the time you can actually get one when you want/need (i.e. when they finally get rid of the shi77y invite system).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 177 ✭✭Wynnie12

Just to let you know I ordered the 2nd, went from processing to completed on Thursday and had it in my hands on Friday. Standard delivery. Never received shipping confirmation so your phones may be on the way but the status may not say so

I agree its not as attractive a buy as OPO but still looks to be a very good product.

I doubt they will ever get rid of the invite system.

That's redicolus though. 11 days before it even ships.

I bought two OPO and a load of accessories last year and my brother used my account to order a OPT this time. But to be honest I don't think I'll order a OPT for myself now after all the faffing about.

Yup very messy process this year.I got my OPO within a week last year.I ordered on a Tuesday night and had it the following Monday and that was using Parcel Motel.
You would have though they would have ironed out the issues with the OPT.

Still nothing for me. Ah sure, what's the harm. My missus got Motorola x play last week. No hassle straight from Argos. The phone is fabulous. She isn't into tech but hasn't stopped going on about the amazing things it does.

Its a great mid phone , with people reporting good battery life and it has quickcharge and will likely be one of the first phones away from the nexus range to get marshmallow.

It's called moto x play. It has a 23 megapixel camera. It cost 350 and to be honest I would take it for that money if I hadn't already "bought" the Oneplus 2, if it ever turns up.

I get confused about which phone is which from moto. There's loads of them with similar names.

Pure and style are the same. They have SD 810, 5.7 QHD and 3000mah battery and quick charge, the quick charge plug comes with it

The play has SD 615, 5.5 FHD and 3630mah battery, it supports quick charge 2.0 but the plug has to be bought separately, although the plug that comes with it is supposed to be pretty fast and comes with 2 USB sockets

The CEO said the other day that they could do a one hour open sale in the next few weeks. Which given that they seem to be making phones only after they are ordered is pretty pointless.

    +1
That seems pointless and like throwing petrol on a fire.

What I was asking the OP was when does he think the invite system will cease?
