Plastic Surgery for scar

Hello all I suffered quite a bad scar on my chin as a result of a soccer injury two years ago. I'm looking into seeing someone about possibly getting some plastic surgery. Any recommendations? Should I go straight to a private plastic surgeon or get a referral from a doctor ? Thanks

You could be waiting ages to be called for a referral so it might be worthwhile going private if you prefer not to wait.
