Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Self installing apps

Hi I bought a Lenovo S660 Max phone a few months ago from aliexpress (I know, I know..), €80 incl. shipping.
My issue is that some apps keep self installing, one is 'game center', another is 'Mopo Play', and it tries to install a new launcher every now and then.
I know nothing about rooting phones but I assume it's rooted because it has 'Super SU' installed and I can use some of the developer options, though some are greyed out.
I ran malwarebytes app and it flags 'Game Center', I can't uninstall game center, only disable it, but it enables itself a while later. Super dodgy.
What can I do? I uninstall apps only to see they've reappeared later.

Hi, to check root, get this app:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck

If it says you are rooted, there are many system app uninstallers.

    This is one:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp

But be careful, you could cause serious damage.

If you have Titanium Backup, it allows freezing and uninstalling of system apps

Some Chinese apps are also just user apps. and might show in your Settings/Apps list....Chinese characters are a giveaway!!

A Root File Manager is also good to have. I recommend ES....

really good, with so many options.
