In a studio apartment with five other apartments on Phibsboro road. Is it really 400 euro to get a parking permit for a year?

    Yep.

Christ, in Kilkenny that'd buy ya a cow, a house, a car and a box of fags.

May find somewhere to park it so!

No fee for parking a cow. Parking an untended box of fags might earn you a litter fine.

You'll have your work cut out for you finding somewhere cheap/free in that neck of the woods. It's just too close to town/The Mater etc etc for freebies. Occasionally, you'll see ads where people rent out reserved parking spaces in apartment buildings, but they usually go for a lot more than 400 quid a year. Or maybe you could work out a deal, by bartering All Ireland medals? :D

Well, the bould Henry was recently tweeting pictures at the Ed Sheeran gig in Croke Park. So these days, he is probably just as pissed off as everyone else, at the lack of affordable parking in the area & his 8974 AI medals are already spoken for. :P

If you are ok with a walk to/from your car & you are at the Glasnevin end of Phibsboro, parking there could be an option. Most of Glasnevin is just regular residential roads, where you don't need to pay to park, or have a permit.

Excellent will check that out! Don't mind a bit of a walk! Rarely use the car in the city anyway, just for driving home or taking a road trip :)

Done expect your car to last long if you leave it parked up for days on end.
