I find the Matt Cooper show annoying because of how often Charlie Weston

That man, he is awful. I don't know why they persist with him as an 'expert'. I switch off for his slot and often just don't bother going back.

I don't see it on the ilevel charts, but out of curiosity, does anyone know how many people listen to Rising Time? Am curious to know how many people up that early listening to the radio.

    Thanks. :)
    :D

I have to stick with 7 to 7 (roughly) otherwise I'd still be at it

    42,000 listen to Rising Time.

    Thank you! :D

Not a bad figure for that time of the day. A lot of early risers.

I'm not really. When Pat first moved to Newstalk I just planned to follow him over, but over time I've become more and more inclined to listen to Sean O'Rourke. It's just a better show and O'Rourke is a better presenter. He's far more balanced then Kenny is these days.

    yup.

i thought when pat shifted to newstalk he'd be able to cut loose without the aul gov noose around his neck. instead if anything he's been more reigned in by dinnytalk than i ever expected. im very disappointed at how the moves turned out.

it doesnt help that for somereason i cant get podcasts of RTE shows to work on my mobile so i now listen to SOR and then stream pat later when darcys on (if i can get the fecking app to work. theyve redone it lately and its a right bugger to get working on the PC let alone the phone).

TBH Sean seems to relish the chance he's got with pats departure and the show is a hell of alot better than i thought it'd be. so the drops no shock to me.

DITTO for matt cooper IMO. The last word used to be the show i always tuned into since the eamo days but by god its become unlistenable to me now. in fact i think whole swathes of shows have nosedived on the quality front on Todayfm/newstalk from my perspective.

the sunday business show for instance. it USED to be the best business show on radio (though admitedly it was only newstalks "down to business " under mark mortell that gave it a run for its money). with ALL the stuff going on in white collar ireland it should be golden time for that program. instead it seems to be coasting along with puff peice stories. seriously what the hell happend to the program that used to give ya stock picks and the like and now talks about "karma" and the hair and nail industry FFS !

i dont know if anything has been handed down from editorial/Management on newstalk/todayfm ala the "Talk up the economy" dross of a few years back but by god somethings happend to suck the life out of several shows i used to enjoy.

what makes me laugh now is im getting more out of neil delameres sunday show than almost any other non montrose product now. sure as hell didnt see THAT happening.

    :)

    I think it's a cycle.

I'm sick of talk radio at the moment across RTE, NT & Today FM.

I actually drive now without turning on the radio.

Might throw on a CD (might).

Happened a few years ago as well.

Still listen to LBC at night though.

I also updated the Dublin part - with the station programmes - without the nationals.

Would it be possible for the iLevel lads to expand that part with all Dublin stations?

Would anyone also have the Dublin breakdown of all breakfast shows? As its usually the most important part of a station's lineup it would be interesting to see where everyone stands.

There's no hourly breakdown for the stationsin Dublin as there has been before i think? But working off the information given so far they can be ranked, exclding Radio 1 which is ahead all day.

    1: Strawberry Alarm Clock (FM104) @ 83k
    2: Newstalk Breakfast @ 80
    3: Ian Dempsey (Today FM) @ 44
    4: Fully Charged (Spin 1038) @43
    5: Ray Foley (98fm) @ 38

Q102 Breakfast has 17k but i'm not sure where they slot in with the other station's not ranked. I'd suggest 2fm are in the mix there too... although they end at 8.45...which is just silly so i'm not sure how you even figure out the listenership.

Thanks but thats still not the complete picture. Where do other stations like TX or Sunshine for example fit in with breakfast ratings?

It would be nice to see even more statistics from the iLevel guys, particularly for the Dublin market as it has so many stations.
